President Biden’s new budget plan calls for higher taxes. The proposal includes a minimum 20% tax on the income of households worth $100 million or more. I say good luck with getting it past the Republicans, because they wouldn’t vote for a bill to reduce insulin to $35 because it would involve a price reduction from a pharmaceutical company that helped to keep them with money in the bank.
I understand Lori Lightfoot is scrapping the 3 cents a gallon tax relief and decided to give out gas gift cards, public transportation gift cards, for people who make up to $130,000 to $140,000 or less. I think it should be people who are living in poverty. The difference between her and Willie Wilson is Wilson is going to the suburbs, too. So if he’s buying votes, he’s buying votes for what? Mayor of Cook County? No, he’s doing it because he’s a good guy. Lightfoot is using taxpayer money to have a promotion to get her more votes. It’s amazing what people do with other people’s money.
It seemed like it was OK for Madison Cawthorn to take a knife to school board meeting and it was OK for Matt Gaetz to be accused of sex trafficking, but God forbid Cawthorn should turn on his own people in the Republican Party and Liz Cheney actually should tell the truth and want to find out the truth about the attack on our democracy. The only way the Republicans can seem to get into trouble with their own leaders is if they tell the truth. They are disgusting, that party is going down.
Jen Psaki is leaving the White Housee to go take an on-air job for guess what, MSNBC. Go figure. The only difference is who’s going to pay her. She’ll still be telling the same lies.
In the 1950s and ‘60s, there was a TV show hosted by Art Linkletter named “People are Funny.” Fast forward to 2022 and the remake would be People are Stupid. How else would you explain that allegedly 80 million people voted for probably the worst president and vice president tandem in our country’s history? They both got to go. it’s horrible.
