New Delhi: In an attempt to motivate its younger members, particularly those from the mofussil towns and rural areas, the BJP’s youth wing has rolled out a training session for over 5,000 Yuva Morcha members. These youth will travel to different states to experience the ‘finer aspects of India changing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.’

In groups of 30, the youth will travel to different states under Bharat Darshan and study the impact of major government schemes, be it the impact of the abrogation of Article 370 or the focus on clean energy, toilets, drinking water or even the push to manufacturing of semiconductors, electric vehicles, vaccines and start-ups. The morcha has prepared a blue-print of sorts to provide exposure to its youth wing members through 3-4 days of guided tours.

A senior party functionary said the morcha under 30-year-old Tejasvi Surya has been transitioning from an agitation body to an ideating platform for the party, and this programme was aimed at training the future MLAs and MPs. He added the morcha was aiming to build a pool of ideologically committed workers who were also aware about the best practices of governance. Starting Friday, under the morcha’s policy dialogues initiative, cohorts of 30 members will attend interactive sessions of senior ministers to understand the reforms and impact of government decisions on various sectors. The first interaction is with finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday.

While Sikkim, Gujarat and MP are next in line for Bharat Darshan, the party’s state units have been asked to pick their best and enterprising members to be part of these delegations.
