NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, India Glycols(20.0%), Nureca Ltd.(20.0%), Cybertech Sys(20.0%), Paramone Concepts(20.0%), VMV Holidays Ltd.(20.0%), Shiva Mills(19.98%), Advait Infratech(19.96%), Gensol Engg(19.94%), HB Stockholding(19.93%) and CIL Securities(19.92%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 90.99 points down at 57806.49, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 19.65 points down at 17213.6.
In the Nifty50 index, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Shiva Mills, Advait Infratech, HB Stockholding, CIL Securities and Swasti Vinayaka hit their fresh 52-week high, while G G Engineering, Shyamkamal Invst, Mas Fin Services, Gillette India and Generic Pharmasec touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
