Adani Gas shares up 2.9% as Nifty gains

NEW DELHI: Shares of Adani Total Gas Ltd. traded 2.9 per cent up in Friday’s trade at 10:05AM (IST). Around 4,694 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 2197.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 2218.45 and Rs 2164.0, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Adani Total Gas Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 2241.4 and a 52-week low of Rs 772.95.

Total market cap of the Adani Total Gas Ltd. stood at Rs 242871.06 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials

The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 891.33 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, up 34.39 per cent from previous quarter’s Rs 663.22 crore and up 76.54 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 504.88 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 127.61 crore, down 12.52 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern

As of 31-Dec-2021, domestic institutional investors held 0.02 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 18.16 per cent and the promoters 74.8 per cent.

Valuation ratio

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 424.57 and a price-to-book ratio of 54.67. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
