After two days of interrogation, the Crime Branch probing the alleged conspiracy case against actor Dileep and five others arraigned G. Sarath, an Aluva-based businessman and a close aide of Dileep, as an accused.
He was interrogated for the second straight day on Wednesday at the end of which he was named as the sixth accused who was hitherto unnamed since the case was registered.
He was booked after the investigators were convinced about his presence during the alleged conspiracy at Dileep’s house in Aluva. The case was registered based on the statements of director P. Balachandrakumar, a one-time acquaintance of Dileep.
As per the FIR, the accused conspired to endanger police officials involved in the probe into the actor assault case in November 2017.
All accused except Sarath had received anticipatory bail in the case.
