A single window facility for the welfare of the inter-State migrant workers, arguably the first of its kind in the country, will be inaugurated at the civil station on Thursday.
It will be inaugurated jointly by Ministers P. Rajeeve and K. Rajan.
The facility has been set up jointly by the district administration, District Legal Services Authority, and the National Health Mission.
Welfare activities of migrant workers from any part of the country will be coordinated through it. The office has been set up as part of the corporate social responsibility initiative of LNG Petronet.
Kerala Legal Services Authority member secretary and Additional District Judge K.T. Nisar Ahamad will be the chief guest. DLSA chairperson and District Sessions Judge Honey M. Varghese will preside over the function.
