The recent discovery of carcasses of around 20-30 birds under mysterious conditions at Natasahi area under Krushnaprasad Block in Puri district has triggered panic in the region. As per reports, at least 15-20 crows along with poultry were found in an unconscious state on the floor.
However after inspection, these crows were discovered to be dead, triggering much panic among locals. While villagers are suspecting it to be bird flu, the exact reason for the mass death of birds is yet to be ascertained. The response of forest department officials on the matter is still awaited.
