Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty fell 245.3 points to 17519.5, while the BSE Sensex traded 826.92 points down at 58809.09.
On the other hand, D K Enterprises Global Ltd., Dhunseri Invst, Lakshmi Finance, Kotyark Industries Ltd. and Bharti Airtel(PP)stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, Power Grid, Britannia and TCS were among the top gainers on the NSE.
Bajaj Finance, RIL, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv and ONGC were among the top losers.
