The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 242.2 points down at 17522.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 821.39 points at 58814.62 at around 11:59AM.
Bharti Airtel(up 4.07%), Asian Paints(up 1.98%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.91%), Britannia Industries(up 0.8%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.74%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.7%), Wipro(up 0.67%), JSW Steel(up 0.29%), Cipla(up 0.14%) and HCL Technologies(up 0.05%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 5.06%), Reliance Industries(down 3.91%), Tata Motors(down 3.84%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.67%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 3.66%), State Bank of India(down 3.48%), Maruti Suzuki(down 3.03%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 2.78%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.65%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.34%) were trading in the red.
