Arms, ammunition recovered near LoC in J&K’s Poonch

JAMMU: Security forces on Monday recovered a cache of arms near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar sector in J&K’s Poonch district.
“Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of the Army and J&K Police launched a cordon and search operation in Mendhar’s Deri Dabsi village along the LoC,” said a police source.
“During the operation, the security forces recovered arms and ammunition including one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, two pistols and pistol magazines each,” said the source.
In this connection, a case under the Arms Act was registered at Mendhar police station and an investigation was launched.
