Azuki x Epik High: What we know so far

“We’re excited to announce our collaboration with legendary Korean hip-hop trio, Epik High, to create original visual art for their upcoming Coachella performance,” Azuki announced yesterday, April 10.

Epik High is one of the most influential hip-hop groups from South Korea’s Seoul. Actually, Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz formed the band in 2001. Back then, hip-hop was not as popular in South Korea as it is now.

“Epik High have long been pioneers in Asian culture and were the first Korean act to ever perform at Coachella in 2016,” Azuki further wrote. “They’ll be the first Korean act to return to the festival and we’re thrilled to celebrate this moment in Asian excellence through this collaboration.”

In the run-up to the festival, the group has also dropped a new album. Their 10th studio album, Epik High Is Here (Part 2), also revolves around themes of “self-love, loneliness, and confidence”.

Meanwhile, Azuki NFT has been making waves in the NFT space in the last couple of weeks. Following a surprise NFT airdrop, the project’s floor price has soared (currently at 22 ETH). This even led several holders of blue-chip NFTs to express their disappointment as their projects’ floor was nowhere close. The partnership with Epik High has just added another feather to Azuki’s cap!
