And Moses guided the Israelites through the desert for 40 years, carrying their bread and drink upon their backs. But soon the bread ran out, and people grew hungry. And soon the water ran dry, and the people grew thirsty. But Moses beseeched help from God, and in time, help was delivered. They came upon a desert oasis with a pool of tranquil blue water. “God is great,” Moses said, and the Israelites echoed their praise. But then they saw another crowd of desert wanderers who sought to drink the same water. There was not water enough for both, and so Moses went forth to speak to their leader.
Minutes later, Moses returns and tells the Israelites they must leave. “But Moses, did you tell them that we are God’s chosen people?” “Yes, I did.” “And did you tell them that we lacked for water and needed to drink?” “Yes, I did.” “Then why have you yielded to them?” “Because they told me they were from r/gaming, and thus their thirst is far greater than our own.”
