Agro Phos(up 19.92%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 3.69%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.51%) and Aries Agro(up 0.33%) stood among the top gainers.
G S F C(down 6.94%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 4.39%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 4.28%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.89%), Sikko Industries(down 3.74%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 3.28%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 2.42%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.40%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.18%) and National Fertilizer(down 1.57%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 168.1 points down at 17639.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 575.46 points at 59034.95.
Axis Bank(up 2.38%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.4%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.06%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.95%), ICICI Bank(up 0.94%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.78%), Cipla(up 0.75%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.63%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.57%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.55%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.82%), Titan Company Ltd(down 3.22%), HDFC(down 2.89%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.29%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.24%), HDFC Bank(down 2.2%), Wipro(down 2.14%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.9%), Reliance Industries(down 1.76%) and Bharti Airtel(down 1.71%) closed in the red.
